MT. CARMEL, Ill. - Regular readers will be familiar with the name "Catt" as it appears in Wabash County regarding sex offenses.

The younger Catt (William Catt), which can be viewed on the links at the hotlink on his name, was subject of many articles over the past couple of years.

James H. Catt

Now, another Catt (no indication that there is ANY relationship; just the same last name is all we're pointing out) has come up on the blotter out of Mt. Carmel, according to this morning's (08.14.19) arrest report released by Mt. Carmel Police Chief Ryan Turner regarding arrests made yesterday, August 13, 2019.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested James H. Catt, 60 of Mt. Carmel, after he failed to register as a sex offender. Catt is required to register every year and was found to be outside of that time period. At the time of his arrest Catt was found to be in possession of prescription drugs without a prescription. Catt was transported to the Wabash County Jail and charged with failure to register as a sex offender and possession of a controlled substance. Catt is being held pending the setting of bond.

In other Tuesday arrests:

Mt. Carmel Police arrested Tracy C. Wilson, 30 of Mt. Carmel, on a Wabash County warrant charging him with theft. Wilson was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of $500.00 bond.
