FRANKLIN/WILLIAMSON COs., Ill. - The body of a woman reported missing this past weekend has been located, and according to officials, the man alleged to have murdered her lead them to the corpse.

The woman, Kendra M. Ardery, 29 and, in a studiously-overlooked detail by mainstream media, either a former stripper or one at the time of her death, came to be missing over the weekend (August 9-11).

On Sunday, Aug. 11, during their investigation into her disappearance, authorities in West Frankfort zeroed in on Ardery's "roommate," Thomas McCoy, 48, and during questioning, McCoy is reported to have advised that Ardery's body could be found at a location on Angelville Road in neighboring Williamson County.

Ardery's body was found there with evidence on-scene indicating there was an attempt to conceal the remains in the dense weeds and other vegetation. Williamson County's coroner's office pronounced Ardery deceased yesterday, Aug. 12.

It's now alleged that at some point in time between August 8 and 10, McCoy caused physical trauma to Ardery's head and neck, concealed her death, and abused her body after she was deceased. He's been charged in Franklin County with First Degree Murder, Concealing a Homicidal Death and Abuse of a Corpse. Evidently, he is to be charged in Williamson County as well (at last check, McCoy had been hospitalized with "chest pains" and was to have been transferred to the Williamson County Jail after he was cleared from whatever hospital he was sent off to.) Queries to Williamson's State's Attorney Brandon Zanotti haven't been answered as yet. McCoy, who has no discernable record in downstate, is being held on a five-million-dollar bail (half-million cash bond).

Ardery was reported to us yesterday as being a stripper at JB's Showplace in DeSoto in neighboring Jackson County. The current status just prior to her death is unclear, but posts on her social media page seem to bear out that she was working there at least at some point in time over the past year. Why mainstream media is overlooking that point is unknown.

McCoy is set for a Franklin County hearing tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday, Aug. 14.
