Palestine PD makes early-morning arrest of wanted subject

PALESTINE, Ill. - Palestine's Police Chief was up and at em early this morning after it was brought to his attention that a wanted subject was in the village.

A press release shows that at approximately 6:15 a.m. this morning (Friday, July 19), Palestine Police Chief Jeff Besing received information of a wanted subject in the 500 block of E. Grand Prairie Street.

Chief Besing went to the that location and located Brian L. Malone, 35, at which time he was taken into custody without incident.

Malone was arrested on Failure to Appear warrants for No Valid Registration, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Cruelty to Animals and Aggravated Domestic Battery.

Malone was transported to the Crawford County Jail where he is being held pending bond.
