Drug arrest made after another joint effort between Flora, Clay County, drug task force

CLAY CO., Ill. - Another successful investigation in a joint effort by Flora Police, Clay County Sheriff's Department and the local drug task force has lead to the arrest of a Flora man.

A press release from Flora Police Chief Guye Durre and Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers explains the situation.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation by the Flora Police Department, Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force and with the assistance of the Clay County State's Attorney Andrew Koester, a search warrant was obtained and served at a residence in Flora on July 17.

As a result, Clifford Ryan Cammon, 38 of Flora, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to deliver which is a Class 2 felony and Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class 4 felony.

Cammon is currently incarcerated at the Clay County Jail awaiting the filing of formal charges and setting of bond.
