Battery gets woman jailed in Gibson County, Ind.

GIBSON CO., Ind. - A battery arrest in Fort Branch, Indiana, resulted in the arrest of a woman who was kind enough to give authorities and the rest of us, the reading public, this grinning goofball mug you see here.

Gibson County authorities said that this past Saturday (July 13, 2019) at 9:27 a.m., Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a battery in the 100 block of West Oak Street in Fort Branch, Indiana.

Deputy Loren Barchett and U.B. Smith arrived on scene and began an investigation into the incident. After speaking with everyone involved in the incident as well as witnesses to the incident, Deputy Barchett placed Jacinda Tate, 37 of Fort Branch, into custody and transported her to the Gibson County Jail.

Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Ms. Tate was charged with Battery and Resisting Law Enforcement. She remains in custody at $750 bond.
