Mt. Carmel Police Chief releases May stats

MT. CARMEL, Ill. - Mt. Carmel might not be the biggest town in our coverage area, but it certainly has a police force that cares about the community and its safety.

Evidence of this can be seen in the May 2019 departmental activity report, which shows just how busy officers have been.

Here it is, as provided by Police Chief Ryan Turner.

Traffic Arrests:
4 driving suspended/revoked                           
2 no driver's license                         
18 no insurance                           
1 speeding                           
2 seat belt                           
12 other moving violations                             
1 DUI
100 written warnings
12 verbal warnings

In addition, the department handled:
18 accidents
9 Drug Arrests
16 Criminal Arrests
11 Warrants Served

In total, there were 494 total incidents handled by the officers during May 2019..
