Marion PD deals with repeat offenders…one day after another

MARION, Ill. - Marion Police officers probably got a little frustrated being called to two incidents, on two subsequent days, but involving the same chick and the same charge.

That'd be Stephanie Garland, who leads this third-week-of-May police report.

Garland, 30 of Marion was arrested for Battery in the area of Main St and Buchanan St on May 24.

The next day (May 25), Garland was arrested for Domestic Battery in the area of Jackson and Mechanic St.

The rest of the arrests are the standard fare, with a couple of them quite egregious.

Such is the case with Andrew Major, 54 of Springfield, who has been arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Sexual Assault and Battery in the 2200 block of Melanie Ln. on May 25.

Roger D. Jones, 51 of Marion has been arrested for Domestic Battery and Resisting/Obstructing Police Officer on May 25 in the area of S Jackson St. and Mechanic St.

Veronica Steele, 35 of Marion has been issued a citation for Burglary in the 1800 block of W. Copeland St. on May 25.

Rachel Groves, 39 of Pittsburg has been arrested for Retail Theft in the 1300 block of W. Enterprise on May 25.

Antonio Brown, 30 of Herrin has been arrested for Criminal Trespass to a Vehicle in the 700 block of N. Court St. on May 26.

Jessica Taylor, 30 of Marion has been arrested for Disorderly Conduct in the 700 block of N. Court St. on May 26.

Mitchell Guldbrandsen, 30 of Goreville has been arrested for Disorderly Conduct in the area of Lillian and Garfield on May 26.

Anissa Haymon, 25 of Marion has been arrested for Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer on May 27 in the 500 block of E DeYoung St.

Bradley Ogden, 29 of Marion has been arrested for Retail Theft at Menard’s on May 27.
