SALINE CO: Harrisburg drug dealer nabbed following brief foot-chase

SALINE CO., Ill. — It appears that one of Saline County’s more notorious convicted drug dealers has been busted yet again.

According to local authorities, on Wednesday, May 22, Kody Ray Weatherington, who is a whole 30 years old, was apprehended after taking local lawmen on a foot chase.

Details indicate that Weatherington is in no danger of being recruited for the Olympic running team anytime soon.

No better runner than he is a criminal, police took Weatherington into custody at 6:46 p.m. on arrest warrants charging him with Failure to Appear for sentencing regarding the violation of probation after he was convicted for Unlawful Possession With Intent to Deliver Cannabis and two counts of Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine.

Once in custody Weatherington was additionally charged with Resisting/ Obstructing a Police Officer and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.

oWeatherington’s Saline County criminal history includes a felony conviction March 31, 2010 for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, for which he was sentenced to probation for 30 months, ordered to undergo drug treatment (which obviously did little god in this case) and to fork over $3,285 in fines and fees.

On January 25, 2017 he was convicted of Manufacture/ Delivery of Cannabis and sentenced to probation for another 24 months and ordered to shell out $7,736.80 in fines and fees, of which he still owes $3,112.80.

And according to court documents, Mr. Weatherington, of 927 Barnett St., Apt., 11B, Harrisburg, is awaiting trial in a July 22, 2018 case in which he is charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.

He is also awaiting trial in a September 21, 2018 case in which he is accused of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.
