Drug conviction gets Herrin man IDOC time; already serving out Franklin County sentence

WILLIAMSON CO., Ill. - Williamson County State's Attorney Brandon Zanotti has announced sentencing in the case of a Herrin man convicted of a drug crime.

Zanotti said that on Monday (May 20, 2019), Jonathan Pendall, 29, of Herrin, pled guilty to Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class 4 felony, and was sentenced to four years in DOC.

Pendall’s charges stem from a 2014 drug investigation handled by the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group (SIEG). Pendall is currently serving a sentence in DOC out of Franklin County for Theft and Meth Possession. Pendall has a criminal history, including a Residential Burglary conviction out of Sangamon County.

Pendall will serve one year of mandatory supervised release following his release from DOC.
