EDWARDS CO., Ill. - A Grayville guy with arrest records kind of all over the place is going to be cooling his heels and giving the locals a break after a sentencing last week in Edwards County Circuit Court.

Edwards County State's Attorney Eric St. Ledger announced that on Friday of last week, May 15, Freddie Swift, 41, was found guilty of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, a Class 2 felony, at the conclusion of a jury trial.

Swift’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for June 20, where the possible penalties range from 3 to 14 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
