Clay County Sheriff’s Department report features Olney, Fairfield, Sullivan folks

CLAY CO., Ill. - Folks from Fairfield, Olney and Sullivan joined the locals this week for the Clay County Sheriff’s Department report, which covers the time frame of May 8 through May 15, 2019.

Harry Strange

May 8, a Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Harry Strange, 31, Flora, on an outstanding Wayne County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Theft. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond. Strange was also wanted on an outstanding Richland County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He was unable to post bond and was transported to the Richland County Jail.

May 9, a Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Christopher Graham, 42, Flora, for No Valid Driver’s License and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Graham’s bond set at $7,500.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.

May 9, a Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy cited Terry Bible, 61, Louisville, for Louisville City Ordinance Dogs at Large. He was given a Notice to Appear.

May 10, Daniel Bilyew, 56, Noble, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Violation of Order of Protection. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent). He appeared in court on a later day and was released.

May 10, a Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Chasity Busby, 35, Xenia, on an outstanding Wayne County warrant for Theft. Bond set at $50,000.00(10%). She was unable to post bond and was transported to Wayne County Jail.

May 12, Sara Moeller, 31, Louisville, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident. Bond set at $3,500.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She posted bond and was released.

May 13, Andrew J. Robinson, 26, Sullivan, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.

May 13, Joseph B. Smith, 28, Fairfield, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of D.U.I. Bond set at $4,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.

May 14, the Clay County Sheriff's Office received a report of a motor vehicle accident at 11:55 a.m. at the intersection of North Church Street and Chestnut Street in Louisville. Apparently Mabel Smith, 67, Flora, operating a 2019 GMC was traveling east on Chestnut Street and turned onto North Church, striking a 2012 Ford operated by Arnita Fender, 52, Louisville. No injuries reported.

May 14, Shawn Webb, 31, Fairfield, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charges of Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine (2 counts) and Obstructing Justice. Bond set at $250,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.

May 15, a Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Cassie Casteel, 22, Olney, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on 3 courts of Forgery. Bond set at $2,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She appeared in Clay County Court and was released.

May 15, Jared Cummins, 20, Olney, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance. Bond set at $15,000.00 (10 percent). He posted bond and was released.
