Grayville man sentenced in Edwards County vehicle theft case

EDWARDS CO., Ill. - Edwards County State’s Attorney has announced the sentencing of a Grayville man in a 2018 vehicle theft case.

Timothy Herring, 52 of Grayville, was sentenced Friday, May 17, 2019 to a total of three and a half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by a term of two years of Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly known as “parole”) in the case.

Timothy Herring pled guilty to the offense of Unlawful Possession of a Stolen or Converted Vehicle.

Edwards County State’s Attorney Eric A. St Ledger prosecuted the case on behalf of the People of the State of Illinois and conflicts public defender, Kelli Storckman, represented the defendant, Timothy Herring.

The case was investigated by the Grayville Police Department.
