Residence broken into; narcotic pills taken

PALESTINE, Ill. - Burglarizing thieves - and apparent pillheads - at at it again in the village of Palestine.

Chief Jeff Besing has reported that the Palestine Police Department investigated a break-in to a residence in the 400 block of E. Market Street.

Besing advised that the resident owners returned home approximately  4:00 pm Thursday afternoon (May 16) after being gone for approximately four days and found that their residence had been broken into.

Taken was an undetermined amount of Schedule IV narcotic pills.

Anyone having information pertaining to this incident is being asked to contact the Palestine Police Department or by calling the Crawford County Crimestoppers at 1-888-596-7867.
