Marion PD still dealing with people taking things that aren’t theirs

MARION, Ill. - Not everybody in this Marion City Police Department activity report had alleged sticky fingers...but enough of them did that it warrants the headline.

Why there's so much alleged thievery is unknown at this point; generally, people steal either because they lack something they need, they have a compulsion and can't help it, or they intend to fence the stolen item for dope or meth-making components.

There's no indication of any of that in any report, but whatever the case, the fact is that Marion officers are dealing with a lot of it anymore.

Here's the report.

LaWanda Kaegi, 34 of Marion has been arrested for Aggravated Battery of a Police Officer in the 1100 block of N Carbon St on May 7.

Eddie Lawless, 37 of Marion has been arrested for Theft in the 900 block of S Court St on May 7.

Madalyn Holden, 20 of Marion has been arrested for Domestic Battery in the 400 block of S Vicksburg St on May 8.

Lisa Weeks, 44 of Marion has been issued a citation for Retail Theft at Kroger on May 8.

Joshua Hargrave, 18 of Marion has been issued a citation for Criminal Damage to Property in the area of Boulevard St and Russell St on May 8.

Gregory Green, 59 of Marion has been arrested for Retail Theft at Menard’s on May 8.

Samuel Williams, 33 of Marion has be arrested for Retail Theft at Mach 1 on May 9.
