Other Carmi police activity on the blotter, mid-month March

Posted by on Monday, March 18th, 2019 @ 9:55 pm.

CARMI, Ill. - Besides the major meth bust that occurred Sunday evening, the rest of Carmi's police work at mid-month consisted of FTA (failure to appear) arrests and dealing with traffic incidents, as the reports show.

Lonnie Duvall

The first goes back to this past Friday, March 15, when at 2:39 p.m., officers made a warrant arrest on Lonnie Duvall, 22, at his residence on the 600 block of 9th Street in Carmi. The warrant was for FTA on a Theft charge for which he was convicted in December of 2017; he's currently under another from 2018, which is still pending in court. Both charges are misdemeanors.

Duvall was apparently able to post bond to secure his release on the FTA.

A guy who's probably right now questioning his parents' choice of a first name in light of his last name is next on the list, with his incident occurring Friday at 7:28 p.m.

The dubiously-named Tylor Taylor, 19 of a rural Carmi address, was arrested after police say he left the scene of a property damage crash in front of the high school.

While authorities aren't saying what, exactly, was damaged, the police report shows that there were two victims in the incident: Brandon Fleck, 20, and the City of Carmi.

TylorTaylor was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident Causing Damage to an Unattended Vehicle or other Property, and Illegal Transportation or Possession of Alcohol.

Then early Monday morning, March 18, one Tabitha L. Seabeck, 26, showing an address of Akron, Ohio, went to the Carmi Police Department to turn herself in on a warrant. This was for FTA on a Burglary conviction dating back to a 2016 case.

She was able to post the requisite bond to secure her release, with probably a stern warning to make sure and make her next court appearance.
