CUMBERLAND CO., Ill. - A single-vehicle rollover accident occurring early this morning in Cumberland County resulted in the driver being transported to Terre Haute for treatment, and a citation issued for another one of those mysterious “leaving the roadway” issues.

Illinois State Police report that the wreck took place at 3:12 a.m. this morning, Tuesday, August 7.

A 2004 Chevrolet truck being driven by Amy J. Brandt, 43, of Casey, was westbound on Interstate 70 at milepost 121 approximately two miles east of Greenup when the vehicle left the roadway to the right.

The truck rolled over multiple times in the ditch before coming to rest on its top in the north ditch of I-70.

Brandt was taken by ambulance to Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind., and was later cited for Improper Lane Usage.
