CRAWFORD CO., Ill. - Two individuals were jailed this weekend in Crawford County law enforcement activity.

Ian Price

Crawford officials advise that on Friday afternoon, August 3, Robinson teen Ian Price was taken into custody.

Price, 19, just got off probation from a battery charge dating back to July of last year. That probation was revoked in early May of this year. His arrest Friday afternoon, however, involved a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and a subsequent charge of Bringing Contraband into a Penal Institution.

On Saturday, Aug. 4, a familiar name reappeared on the docket.

Greg Hill

Greg Hill, the guy who created a stir in September 2013 when he made a very public issue out of an obsession he had with a local young teacher, was the subject of a warrant arrest.

Hill, 43 of Robinson, has apparently been charged with new counts of Threatening a Public Official and two counts of Intimidation. None of these seem to have anything to do with the multiple felony counts of Terrorism/Making a False Threat, which were filed against him in early 2015 and which were dismissed in exchange for a plea to misdemeanor Violating OP, which he caught in May of 2014. Authorities in releasing press information didn't indicate how Hill got the new charges, so we'll have to wait a bit and see what's up with it. Suffice it to say, since the story first emerged five years ago, it's become clear that Hill isn't right, and while he has a stunning intellect (he represented himself in much of the proceedings, something that's not surprising, as he's the son of former judge James V. Hill), he's obviously (and documented-ly) suffering mental illness...which are two reasons why he's continually getting a break.

Hill isn't under any kind of order to be good (his conditional discharge sentence on the OP Violation was up in April of this year), so this will probably go away, too. Be watching for updates to see if that very thing doesn't happen.
