Marion Taco John's

MARION, Ill. - Marion authorities are working on an investigation of a report made Monday that a man was waving a weapon at someone at the drive-through of the city's Taco John's.

Reports indicate that the situation occurred last night (June 12) when, at around 6:30 p.m., a blue van with a dented back end pulled up to Taco John's drive-through. The driver was described only as a black woman.

When the vehicle stopped, a young black male got out of the passenger side of the vehicle, and was reportedly waving a gun at a black male employee.

A witness told Disclosure that she heard the man waving the gun saying "You hear what I'm sayin?" over and over.

Police were called and the suspect vehicle, with both the male and the female inside, fled the scene before authorities arrived.

As of today, the suspect is still at large, but authorities are looking for insight; if you have any knowledge of this situation and/or who might be behind it, call Marion PD at 618-993-2124.
