WHITE CO., Ill. - White County Deputy Mike Thomas, on duty as court security, was able to get another warrant served right there in the courthouse yesterday, this one on a woman from Harrisburg.

White County Sheriff's reports indicate that Thomas was assigned to courthouse security when Katherine E. Pickens, 25, of Harrisburg, appeared in court for a hearing.

Thomas knew there was an active warrant for Pickens on a 2017 felony for petition to revoke probation on the original charge of Aggravated Battery to an Officer and Domestic Battery.

Pickens was taken into custody and walked over to the White County Jail, then returned to court where she was advised of her charges and possible penalties.

She was taken back to the jail after a $750 cash bond was set; she posted that and was released.
