Olney woman arrested in Clay County on meth FTA

CLAY CO., Ill. - An Olney woman leads the first Clay County Sheriff's report of the week after she was arrested in Clay on a Failure to Appear warrant for a meth charge.

Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers said that on March 8, Lisa Wells, 45, Olney, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond was set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She posted bond and was released.

On March 9, a Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Charles E. Duff, 45, Flora, for Violation of Probation on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond was set at $50,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.

On March 10, the Clay County Sheriff's Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 4:24 a.m. east of Louisville on the Sailor Springs Road. Apparently Levi Woodward, 21, Mt. Erie, operating a 2018 Toyota, was traveling east on the Sailor Springs road when a deer entered the roadway; he swerved to avoid the deer and entered the ditch. Woodward was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. He was given a Notice to Appear in Clay County court.

Then on March 12, a Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Heather Ross, 30, Flora, for No Valid Driver's License. She was given a Notice to Appear and released.
