SALINE CO., Ill. — A Harrisburg man arrested last November has made short work of his charges, entering a plea last Friday in Saline County Circuit Court.

Saline County State's Attorney Jayson Clark said today that on February 16, 2018, Scotty (Scottie) L. Adams, 44, of Harrisburg, entered a plea of guilty in Saline County to a Class X felony charge of Home Invasion.

Judge Walden E. Morris sentenced Adams to 13 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, with 3 years mandatory supervised release.

On November 8, 2017, the Saline County State’s Attorney’s Office filed charges against Adams. Those charges arose out of an incident in which it was alleged that Adams invaded the victim’s home in Harrisburg, Illinois and intentionally caused injury to the victim. The investigation of Adams’ case was led by the Harrisburg Police Department. Assistant State’s Attorney, Jason A. Olson, led the successful prosecution of Mr. Adams.
