FELONY FRIDAY: What Williamson’s cops and courts have been up to this week

WILLIAMSON CO., Ill. – The February 9, 2018 installment of Felony Friday doesn’t have any convictions to report, but there are plenty of charges, and involve some alleged thieves, alleged child molesters, alleged domestic batterers and more.

Felonies Filed

Samuel C. Milligan, 25 of Herrin, is charged with three counts of Unlawful Use of a Credit or Debit Card. Milligan is alleged to have stolen a wallet from the from the locker room at The Hub recreation center in Marion and used the card from the wallet for purchases over $300 in a six-month period. Milligan and another fellow are alleged to have used the card at such places as Shoe Sensation, Walmart, the ShoeDepartment in Carbondale and of course shopping makes you hungry so they also allegedly treated themselves to Burger King in Marion.

Robert W. Billingsly, 50 of Marion, is charged with three counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of s Child and two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse. The victim was under the age of 13 at the time the alleged incidents occurred. Billingsly is being held in the Williamson County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.

Caught on tape

Danielle M. Kerrigan, 23 of DuQuoin, is charged with Theft over $500. Kerrigan, a former employee at Walmart, admitted to taking $925 from her drawer advances. No other information available at this time.

Chester A. Hale, 46 of Marion, is charged with Aggravated Arson. He is alleged to have set a fire that damaged a residence knowing that one or more persons were inside. He is incarcerated in the Williamson County Jail on a $5, 000 cash bond.

Christy A. Hottes, 39 of Johnston City, is charged with one count of Criminal Trespass to Residence, one count of Criminal Damage to Property in excess of $300, and Obstructing Identification.

Bradley J. Braden, 33 of Chicago, formerly West Frankfort, has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Stolen Merchandise and Resisting Arrest. Braden is currently on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections for Burglary. During the apprehension of Braden, Shane Mullens, 53 of West Frankfort, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was wanted on a warrant from Franklin County on a probation violation. He is free on a $250 cash bond from Franklin County.

Jomode D. Stockstill, 24 of Herrin is charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery/Strangle.

Rachel M. McNeely, 29 of West Frankfort, has been charged with nine counts of Forgery, in which it’s alleged she wrote several checks without the owner’s permission, obtaining several hundred dollars over a few month’s time. A warrant has been issued for her arrest. No other information available at this time.

Lenard L. Duncan of Marion was arrested the day after his 35th birthday. He is charged with Manufacturing /Delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of Cocaine, Manufacturing/Delivery of between 30 and 500 grams of Cannabis and other scheduled Controlled Substances. He is in Williamson County Jail on a $7,500 cash bond.

Earl L Morgan Jr., 46 of Marion, is charged with Aggravated Battery of a Police Officer and Resisting Arrest. He is lodged in the Williamson County Jail on a $750 cash bond.

There were no felony dispositions for Williamson County this week.

There were, however, two Criminal Misdemeanors filed for Child Truancy and several more retail thefts and domestic batteries, DUIs and other charges...as well as this traffic stop shown here in front of Menard's, which brought out the K9. When we learn more about that, we'll post.
