Autopsy results show two Oaktown, Ind., women drowned

KNOX CO., Ill. - The autopsies on Breezie Mason, 33, and Meaghan Meeks, 32, were conducted Monday in Vincennes, Ind.

The women are two of the four individuals who were out mudding near the Wabash in Knox County Sunday (February 4) when the Hummer they were in went into the water.

The women's husbands, Kyle Mason and Cody Meeks, were able to get out of the vehicle but were unsuccessful at freeing their wives, and so ran to get help, but it was too late.

According to Knox County Coroner Brian Hagen, both women died of drowning, the autopsies showed.

The manner of death for both women has been ruled as accidental in nature.

Authorities in Indiana say that toxicology on both women is pending.
