Patti Hyatt

CARMI, Ill. - The Carmi police report this weekend features a very serious arrest - finally - of a Crossville woman whose online rants, while frivolous, have given indication that there's a little more going on than just 'crazy.'

That "little more" might be explained by what it was that Patti Hyatt, 56, was found with after a traffic stop Friday, February 2.

Authorities in Carmi report that Hyatt was the subject of a traffic stop on Main Street in Carmi at 7:02 p.m. Friday night.

While the documentation doesn't show why Hyatt was pulled over, she was taken into custody on charges of Driving While License Suspended, Unlawful Use of Registration, Operation of Uninsured Motor Vehicle...and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Cannabis less than 10grams, possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Meth.

Hyatt's errant kids have both been in and out of White County's Jail in Carmi so many times over the past couple of years on various drug charges that there should probably be a revolving door installed just for them.

Whatever she has to do with either of those two boys - (Michael T. Jordan, 30, and Joseph Levi Jordan, 29) other than constantly getting online and yammering about them in their defense, which yammering includes threats of filing lawsuits against both the authorities as well as those of us in the media who report on them - it appears her current charges are a direct reflection of crimes of both of the offspring.

She was lodged in the county jail and was able to post bond a little later to secure her release.

Jedadiah Locher

In other Carmi arrests this weekend, Jedadiah Locher, 34, of Crossville, was taken into custody at a location on the 600 block of North Sixth Street in Carmi on a Failure to Appear for a Cannabis misdemeanor. Authorities took him to the county jail at 3 p.m. Friday afternoon.
