WHITE CO., Ill. - Two more individuals with pending cases in White County Circuit Court saw their cases resolved with sentences, this happening Wednesday morning, January 10.

White County State's Attorney Denton Aud said that Heather L. Browning, 43, of Carmi, was sentenced in her Class 2 felony Burglary case, dating back to 2016.

In exchange for her plea, Browning got four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, to be followed by two years of parole.

She was also ordered to pay all mandatory fines, fees, costs and assessments, as well as restitution to the victim, all in the amount of $5,000, which court records show has been paid in full.

Then a Lawrence County, man, Shaun D. Car., 33, of Sumner, was sentenced in his meth delivery case that he, too, caught back in 2016.

Shaun Carl

Carl, who spent 222 days in jail (which he apparently gets credit for time served), agreed to a 7-year sentence in IDOC to be followed by two years parole for the Class 2 felony in exchange for his plea.

He too will have to pay all mandatory fines, fees, costs and assessments, which aren't as high as Browning's - $453 - but none of which have been paid.
