CRAWFORD CO., Ill. - A young man with a sex offense conviction in Lawrence County has been taken into custody by Crawford County authorities after allegedly failing to report a change of address as a registered sex offender.

Denver Kyle Wilken, 21, is the young man in question.

Court documents and arresting documents show two different addresses, one in Lawrenceville (Lawrence County) and one in Hutsonville (in Crawford County).

While it's unclear at which address he was supposed to be residing, Crawford authorities are the ones who've charged him with a felony Failure to Report Change of Address, so apparently they believe the infraction took place in their county.

Wilken was taken into custody yesterday (Tuesday, January 9) at around 7:30 p.m. He's being held in the Crawford County Jail on an unspecified bond amount, and no future court date has yet been set.
