LSD allegedly found after Carmi police respond to domestic call

CARMI, Ill. - A Carmi man was taken into custody yesterday morning after an alleged battery on a woman from Eldorado...and many controlled substance items - including LSD - were alleged to have been found in his possession.

Carmi police report the incident occurred yesterday morning (Tuesday, December 12) at 8:44 a.m.

Police were called to a Domestic Battery in progress at an address on the 1600 block of Saunders Avenue. When they arrived, they found Donald R. Davis, 40, of that address, as well as Krystal L. Davis, 29, reporting an address in Eldorado, and a witness to the incident, Jeffrey A. Brown, reporting the same address in Eldorado as Krystal Davis.

Donald Davis was arrested and initially charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery involving a pregnant female (Krystal).

Officers were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence, which was executed around noon.

Numerous illegal and drug-related items were located within the residence. Davis was subsequently charged additionally with Possession of Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance (LSD), Possession of Controlled Substance (steroids), three counts of Unlawful Use of Weapons by a Felon (Firearm, Ammunition, Brass Knuckles) and Possession of Cannabis.

Davis remains behind bars at White County; no bond information has been made available.
