ROBINSON: Young felon jailed after alleged police battery

CRAWFORD CO., Ill.  - A young guy who has a history of running afoul of the law has done it again, this time in Robinson.

Authorities say that Jordan Levi Hout, 26, of West Otey Street in Robinson, was taken into custody last night (Wednesday, December 7) by city police after an incident that involved a scuffle with a cop.

Because of that scuffle, Hout was jailed on an arresting charge of Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer.

Hout has been in trouble - at least in the adult realm - since age 18 in Crawford, starting with a 2009 conviction of Residential Burglary and Receiving or Possessing a Stolen Firearm...and it was downhill from there.

A couple of drug and stolen vehicle charges (which were dismissed) happened, and then a 2014 Agg Batt of a Nurse felony, along with a meth conviction out of Coles County to the north, landed him back in IDOC again...from which he was just released on parole September 1.

Hout is being held at the Crawford County Jail in Robinson with no court date set as yet for either a bond hearing or a hearing to remand him back to the custody of IDOC. Check the upcoming December/January edition for more; you can always find the latest issue here at this link for the e-Edition.
