SALINE COUNTY: Three sentenced on methamphetamine charges today

SALINE CO., Ill. - Saline County State's Attorney Jayson Clark was busy today dealing with people whose arrests and charges are featured in this current issue...and whose cases reached resolution today.

Sekhar McAllister

The first was Sekahr McAllister, 41, of Harrisburg, who entered a plea of guilty in Saline County, Illinois Circuit Court to a Class X felony charge of Methamphetamine Possession. Judge Walden E. Morris sentenced McAllister to 8 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, with 3 years of mandatory supervised release. On September 28, 2017, the Saline County State’s Attorney’s Office filed charges against McAllister arising out of an incident in which it was alleged that McAllister possessed 155 grams of methamphetamine. The investigation of McAllister’s case was led by the Harrisburg Police Department. Assistant State’s Attorney Jason Olson handled the successful prosecution of the case.

Jennifer Lauby

Jennifer R. Lauby, age 31, of Paducah, Kentucky entered a plea of guilty to a Class 3 felony charge of  Methamphetamine Possession. Judge Walden E. Morris sentenced Lauby to 5 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, with 1 year of mandatory supervised release. On September 18, 2017, the Saline County State’s Attorney’s Office filed charges against Lauby arising out of a shoplifting incident in which it was alleged that Lauby possessed less than 5 grams of methamphetamine. The investigation of Lauby’s case was led by the Harrisburg Police Department. Assistant State’s Attorney Jason Olson handled the successful prosecution of the case.

And Carrie A. Graham, age 29, of Harrisburg, entered a plea of guilty to a Class 3 felony charge of Methamphetamine Possession. Judge Walden E. Morris sentenced Graham to 3 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, with 1 year of mandatory supervised release. On October 17, 2016, the Saline County State’s Attorney’s Office filed charges against Graham arising out of a traffic stop in which it was alleged that Graham possessed less than 5 grams of methamphetamine. The investigation of Graham’s case was led by the Harrisburg Police Department. Assistant State’s Attorney Jason Olson handled the successful prosecution of the case.
