CARMI, Ill. - In the lead-up to Corn Days, there have been a couple of arrests to report.

The first came about at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday afternoon (October 10) when 33-year-old Kendra K. Pennington of Carmi was spotted at the popular place to be spotted,  Pundrake's gas and convenience store in midtown, by a city police officer who knew there was a body attachment warrant for her arrest on a 2015 Ordinance Violation case (Nuisance Property).

The officer placed Pennington under arrest, handcuffed her and transported her to the jail, where Pennington was able to post her $150 cash bond and was released.
