WHITE CO.— Someone appears to have gotten a bad case of “I want-itis” in Carmi recently.

On Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 10:51 p.m. Burnance Earl Germany, 81, of Carmi, reported to authorities that sometime between the time he went to bed at 8 a.m., someone entered his apartment and stole a Direct Express card and a Banterra Bank debit card.

And then at approximately 11:10 p.m., on the same night, Nikki J. Jonas, 30, of Sixth Street in Carmi, reported to police that someone had stolen her son’s 20-inch blue and white Ambush bike out of her yard sometime during the night of Sept. 11.

Another bike was reported stolen at 11:48 p.m. that night by Curtis D. Robertson, 29, of 611 North Ninth St., Carmi, who told police his orange, white and blue 20 inch Torah bike had been stolen from his yard sometime the night before (Sept. 11).
