Hardin County warrant served on woman sitting in White County Jail

Misty Rector

WHITE CO., Ill. - Time and the law have caught up to Misty Rector once again.

Authorities in Carmi advised this morning that Rector, 37, of Junction in Gallatin County and sitting in jail in White County being held for Hamilton County, was served a warrant out of Hardin County for failure to appear in a 2012 case.

The case out of Hardin County is meth possession, to which Rector entered a plea in 2013 and was shipped off to IDOC for a little while (about a year).

However, as with most of what former Hardin County state's attorney Tara Wallace did, apparently Rector's sentence in Hardin was a dismal failure, as she not only allegedly failed to appear on her pay-or-appear date (likely because she was locked up on the Hamilton charge as of April of this year), but she evidently didn't learn her lesson, since she's been getting into trouble pretty much since she returned to the area.

The Hamilton County case is one of Forgery, which is exemplary of the badness Rector gets up to (allegedly, of course) when she's out and free to roam about the country. She's also up on a fresh charge of Theft out of her home county of Gallatin.

She has a July 20 hearing on the HamCo case, and a July 24 hearing in the GallCo case, so White County is going to be busy transporting her carcass across county lines in the coming weeks.
