Bond set for man accused of shooting in Marion Sunday

WILLIAMSON CO., Ill. - The man accused of a shooting in the city of Marion Sunday has made a court appearance and bond has been set.

Demetrius Crittendon, 41, of Marion, was arrested early Sunday, April 16, following what authorities said was an argument at the intersection of North Vicksburg and West Goodall streets in town at about 12:22 a.m.

Injured in the shooting was Ray Paul Jordan, 36, of Paducah. He was airlifted from Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion to St. Louis University Hospital for treatment of his injuries; there's been no word from authorities on his condition.

Critendon made a court appearance today (Tuesday, April 18) after being arrested yesterday on a single charge of Aggravated Battery.

His bond has been set at $5,000 cash.
