WILLIAMSON CO., Ill. - A shooting in Marion early Sunday morning has resulted in injuries to one man and the arrest of another.
Marion and Williamson County authorities said that early yesterday (Sunday, April 16, 2017, at 12:22 a.m.) the Marion Police Department was informed of a male subject that had been shot during an argument at the intersection of N. Vicksburg St. and W. Goodall St.
The victim had been transported away from the scene and was located at an apartment in the 700 block of S. Bentley St.
The victim was identified as 36-year-old Ray Paul Jordan of Paducah, Kentucky. Jordan was transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center and later airlifted to St. Louis University Hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation has led to the arrest of 41-year-old Demetrius D. Crittendon of Marion earlier today (Monday, April 17) Crittendon is being held at the Williamson County Jail pending formal charge.
