The little lady who “made history” by being the only female ever elected to the bench by voters has just given the public another reason to make “history” again—by being the first judge thrown OFF the bench by voters after one term.

As if we didn’t need another reason to be reminded that at-large Second Judicial Circuit judge Melissa Drew is only a judge because she’s not Brian Shinkle, she gave us a big reason yesterday (02.19.10): she ordered custody of Ricky Chekevdia, 7, to be handed over to his father, accused child molester Mike Chekevdia.
