The bomb scare yesterday that put Palestine School Unit 3 on soft lockdown has been resolved, but no arrests have been made yet.

The Palestine Community Unit School is on lockdown since a little earlier this afternoon, after an object thought to be a bomb was seen in a lawn close to the school.

JASPER COUNTY WOMAN SENTENCED TO 188 MONTHS ON METHAMPHETAMINE CHARGES

Ashley M. Attaway, 29, of Yale, Illinois, was sentenced to 188 months in prison, five years’ supervised release following the prison sentence, and fined $100.
