WAYNE CO.— In one of those circumstances that is often faked and abused (“I smell ammonia…do you smell ammonia?”), on April 1 during what’s being termed a routine patrol, a Wayne County sheriff’s deputy smelled an odor he recognized as being anhydrous coming from a rural Fairfield home as he was passing by, presumably with a window rolled down.
