CORRECTION: Ditch Wreck in Richland Co. NOT a Lake Accident

RICHLAND CO.—An original call was that a vehicle was reported to be in the lake off St. Marie Road  with people trapped inside this morning at approximatley 9:10 a.m. (Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013).

Here is the original post we had up.

That initial report turned out to be false and a presumed “miscommunication”. Richland County Sheriff’s Department dispatch confirmed that there was NO ONE trapped in the lake, nor any vehicles involved in an accident in the lake or any body of water.

Dispatch went on to say that, “It was a vehicle in the ditch.”, an official said. “That got miscommunicated somehow.”
