Harassment charges added in case of man kicking girl in the head

CRAWFORD CO.— The man accused of kicking 20-year-old Harlie Walters Johnson in the side of her head hard enough to send her to Carle Clinic for treatment, this after his daughter and step-daughter allegedly had her beaten to the ground September 7 is now facing an additional charge of Harassment.

According to sources, Johnson has been approached my numerous individuals nearly begging her to “drop the charges.”

But Ms. Johnson has remained determined to participate in any legal action prosecutors feel is necessary.

At the time the charge was added Jody Stifle, 35, of 103 S. Jackson, Oblong, was already sitting in a cage at the county jail on a charge of one count of Aggravated Battery and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Child with a cash bond of $10,000.

He is accused of knowingly causing great bodily harm to Harlie Walters Johnson in that he kicked Johnson in the head with his foot.

Stifle’s bond now sits at $15,000 cash.
