Meth lab less than a block from Harrisburg police station

HARRISBURG—A meth lab was discovered after what sources say appears to be a break-in at the old American Legion building, 20 S. Main Street in Harrisburg.

Police, the meth lab hazmat cleanup and the building’s owner were on scene around 1:30 a.m. this morning (Monday, October 21).

The location is about a half-block away from Harrisburg’s police station.

Roughly, the location of the alleged meth lab found; it was in the BACK of the building that was under demolition/renovation

Apparently someone broke into the back of the building and started a meth lab, although when/how long ago remains unknown at this time. That portion of the building is under demolition and renovation, and apparently was easier access to the meth makers, while the front of the building wasn’t accessed for the purpose of meth making.

The front of the building is rented out to Photos By MitchLynn. She is believed to NOT have been involved and it is unknown yet if any of her equipment or belongings were stolen. The break-in/lab set-up was directly behind the space she rents in an unused part of the building.

No arrests have been made yet.

(Chris was on scene and could attest to the smell.)

More on this incident as we can get it; keep checking back.
