Good news out of St. F: No gunshot wound, no concerns

LAWRENCE CO.—Finally received clarification on the issue with the gunshot last night on the corner of 13th & Bertrand in St. Francisville.

And it was a gunSHOT, as reported…but no one was injured, as previously listed as a possibility, this coming from sources within the city.

While our informant wishes not to be named (and we will respectfully abide by that), as it turned out, a homeowner was merely cleaning a weapon and the gun discharged—into the floor.

Why there was an emergency call—complete with responding ambulances and rescue units, along with sheriff’s department and local police—is beyond us, but there was.

No one was injured, no one was harmed. Except maybe the taxpayers of St. F and Lawrence County, of course.

Good to hear of a resolution to the whole thing, which piqued a lot of interest.
