Self-inflicted gunshot wound reported in St. Francisville; possible fatality
LAWRENCE CO.—The little village of St. Francisville was ablaze with cop car and ambulance lights shortly after 6 p.m. tonight, 09.08.12, responding to the report of a gunshot at a residence there.
The report listed that the residence is on the north side of the wooden bridge on 13th Street, possibly the corner of 13th and Bertrand; we have a name of the family that lives there, but are holding it pending verification.
Two ambulance crews responded to the scene, as well as sheriff, and police (no indication of whether or not St. F’s ‘police chief’ Billy Darnell was on-duty, but being the attention whore that he is, he probably PUT himself on duty if he wasn’t).
There is no indication of who the victim might be, age, or whether there is a fatality. Witnesses report that the ambulance rigs did not leave the residence with a patient, so this leads to the thinking that there may be a fatality. But witnesses have also reported seeing a woman on the front porch of the house crying, so despite all this, there still may be hope that the gunshot wound victim may yet be okay, just injured.
When we get more, we’ll bring it…keep checking back.
