Threat alleged regarding court appearance in Saline County courthouse tomorrow
SALINE CO.—Personnel at the Saline County Courthouse in Harrisburg are supposed to be on alert tomorrow, September 6, after a man who apparently doesn’t want to pay child support allegedly made statements about “getting a gun and shooting up courthouse.”

B.J. Winkleman, 30, has a status hearing on a 2011 divorce case tomorrow at 9 a.m., wherein he’s supposed to be reporting on lack of payment of child support. According to documents, he isn’t working but continues to turn in proof that he’s at least looking for work, hence the lack of payment.
However, he supposedly made statements to the effect that he would “shoot up the courthouse” in light of the hearing, wherein his efforts will be scrutinized. And apparently, he was taken seriously enough that police officials went to his residence at West Raymond Street in Harrisburg and removed his weapons.
While there’s the strong likelihood that Winkleman was just shooting his mouth off and doesn’t really intend to shoot anything else, authorities don’t take this kind of thing likely, and there always exists the possibility that just one idiot in a million would follow through on such a thing. In case Winkleman is that idiot, all personnel have been alerted….and we’ll see what happens tomorrow.
