We could see this coming two years ago, and held off as long as we could…then when we became custodial grandparents, we needed the income from additional sources, and didn’t have much choice…it’s a great business tool, but we knew a decade ago that social networking was being used and abused by people whom we true patriots could least trust. What a mess we’re all in.

Facebook keeps everything you’ve posted up to the point of deleting your account. it’s very valuable marketing data for advertisers, among other things.

Keep this important thing in mind when using things like facebook, myspace, youtube, etc….you put it on the internet, it’s there forever and open to the public. Doesn’t matter how much you try to hide it behind friends lists, making things private…if it’s on the net it’s public record.

If the Secret Service is involved, then I suspect this young Marine made a statement someone interpreted as a threat to someone in the federal government.
