CISNE REUNION, SATURDAY, 08.11.12!
The big social event of the year in North Wayne County is the Cisne Reunion, which we usually shoot (this is our fourth year) but this is the first year we shot the parade. The event is a four-day, beginning Wednesday of the last full week before school starts. Used to be that carnival rides were set up on half the aware, with a block and a half devoted to kiddie rides and a block and a half devoted to the “bigger” rides; but these days the only rides are the inflatables….which the kids really dig. Other than that, people from all over come to the Cisne Reunion, with Saturday being the biggest draw of them all, holding almost nonstop entertainment on the main stage.

Our own little Ev got into the inflatables….AND the free face painting. She couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t get in there and jump. Right here, she’s saying, “GAMPAY! Cmon! Bounce!” Seriously. She was ordering me around.

Cisne always has some of the BEST food. The Bedford Township Fire District was cooking hamburgers, pork burgers and brats all day long.

In the middle of the festivities, a grass fire was reported near Harold Barnard’s place, the siren went off, the fire department came running from their food stand, and the trucks rolled out. It was extinguished quickly, from all reports.
More to come…keep checking back….
