Reports of beating death in Elizabethtown UNCERTAIN and EVER-CHANGING
ELIZABETHTOWN—We heard reports Saturday afternoon of a beating death that allegedly took place in Elizabethtown early this morning….however, we later heard that the woman, while allegedly beaten, was still alive throughout the weekend.
As of Sunday, our Hardin County sources had NO further information on the matter but were currently looking into it. All we have confirmed at this point is that there was a beating, and that it happened at a house located in close proximity to the sheriff’s department.
Late information coming in indicates that the woman’s name is Norma Jean Cox, and that the beating, if there indeed was one, allegedly was at the hands of her boyfriend.
More bizarre in the scenario is the information just received that Ms. Cox wasn’t quite right…reportedly, her children had already been removed from her, and she was telling people recently that she was “married to Jesus and was having his babies.”
Latest reports this morning were that, having suffered severe injuries, she didn’t make it; however, that has NOT been officially confirmed.
This is an ever-changing situation thanks to the mess that Hardin’s law enforcement is in, plus, we are in early production for the next issue and are super busy, but we’ll do everything we can to keep you up to date on this. If you know anything, feel free to post.
