STABBING IN HARRISBURG
HARRISBURG—We don’t have much but here’s what we’re hearing:
Andrew Jeff McDonald
Eddie Hardin, Jr.
There was a stabbing either last night or this morning at a location on Club Street (correction from Water Street) in Harrisburg. Dead is a man by the name of Eddie Hardin. We don’t know anything yet about Hardin, but apparently a lot of people in tha burg know him. The most we know about the suspect is that he’s alleged to be Jeff McDonald, and we’re attempting to figure if he’s in custody or being sought. We are in production for the next issue and haven’t had much time to work this. If you know anything, feel free to add it in the comments section. We’ll bring more as we get it.

We have something for the print version…things may change, though, even after it hits the stands, so we have to be kind of succinct about it.

It was his facebook but it was made by an ex girlfriend and he never used it she did!

I knew Eddie and to answer Top Cat,We have a lot of people moveing from Chicago to the south so there kids wont get killed.The younger are bringing there ways of life as they know it to are towns.Its going to get a lot worse in time.Most of the kids are gang related,Pushing drugs is all they know,Wont work and live off other people.They are called LOOPS!
Drugs and fighting is NOTHING new to Harrisburg. You say you knew Eddie… then you should know this. He had a good heart, but by no means was he a saint. That’s why the only pic of him being passed around right now came from mugshots.com. I’m curious as to where this “news source” got Jeff’s name.
This is true….bodies have shown up around here, over drugs and drunkin’ brawls, every since I can remember.
They both have prison records.
you ppl need to watch what you say about Eddie! He has family and regardless of his flaws and weather or not he was a saint (like there is someone in this world that really is) he did not deserve to die that way! Think about how u would feel if ur BROTHER died like this regardless of the reason! It hurts ppls feelings when u judge ppl because YOU HAVE NO RIGHT! ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE! And u can not have an opinion like that if you do not know the details! just sayn
Yea there is a prision pic of him goin around but thats because it wasnt posted by his family it was pulled off the internet from when he was arrested! i have plenty of great pictures of him! So ur point is?????

1–no one said Eddie was from Chicago. Other idiots engaging in gang violence in Harrisburg, however, ARE.
2–When drugs are involved, there is no “bigger picture.”
3–nobody said ANYTHING was “justifiable to take life.”
4–nobody’s judging…just issuing opinons…which is what this site is about.
no one said he wasnt fro their either, so i was justsayn!! And yes i believe the bigger picture is that a life was lost regardless of the reason weather it was drugs or something else! I did not say it was justifiable to take a life i said i didnt think anyone else would. These are my opinions and i just think that more info needs to be released before people should be so jusdgemental! Didnt mean to come off as an asshole but it has only been a week and it still hurts so much Jack!

I am not judging Eddie. I didn’t say anything against him except he was not a saint. And no, none of us are. The only reason I responded to Ksara was to negate her statement that this is all new crap happening in So IL. No, I do not know the details. The only thing I know is two families are hurting and my heart goes out to them. Drugs are awful and hurt so many people. Maybe this will be a wake up call to some, so that Eddie didn’t die in vein. Don’t read too much into things dear. I’m not judging either party involved.
I believe you are correct Ksara .Loops is a new name that I recently heard and have used over and over again.
Could some of them be moving down here because they come down to visit friends and kin at IYC and see how laxed we are around here and see a takeover in the future? Just rambling thoughts.
Eddie was born and raised here! He didnt come from Chicago or anywhere else! He had flaws yes as most of us do! I wish everyone could see the bigger picture here and not just focus on the drugs! I mean do any of you actually think that just because they did drugs, it becomes justifiable to take a life! I would sure hope not! I think everyone needs to wait and get the facts before they can have such hurtful and closed minded opinions on this matter! I actually read this paper and it has made me laugh at times and pissed me off at times! But thats what its about! However, this paper is not who is hurting my feelings and being judgement, that is the people who are posting on this page! Shame on those who think they have the right to judge others! Especially if any of you consider yourselves Christians!
hey justsayn im sorry for ur and ur families loss and from what i have read on this site as well as the comments no one is by any means judging eddie and in case ur wondering no i dont know him what everyone on here is saying is that because of more and more people becoming ok with the drug problem and not saying anything for this reason or that then more and more families are loosing people close to them i know this isnt going to make u feel any better as it is just words and ur hurt that ur family memeber is no longer on this earth because of drugs weather he was using or not sending prayers ur way and thanks jack and ang for reporting things in ur paper that other msm wont
Doing drugs doesn’t justify taking a life. But doing drugs ups the odds of losing your life.
I understand you’re mourning right now and no matter the circumstances of his death, He was your Brother and you loved him. Eddie’s death is a huge loss for you. I hope you can heal from this as well as possible.
I didn’t know Eddie personally. All I knew of Eddie was his name came across the police scanner on a regular basis. This tells me he was always in trouble. If you play on that playground, you’re going to get hurt.
