Mainstream media catches up to us: Marion employee in the headlines
MARION—Nothing against KFVS; we like em…and glad to see that they’re on the ball with this story….but remember, you heard it here first:
MARION, IL (KFVS) -
The Marion City Council voted unanimously Wednesday to let go of one of their employees.
Not much information is being released at this time, but an investigation is underway to determine whether or not anything is missing.
Linda Hyde was employed as the Marion Water Department Manager. She worked for the City for 30 years.
Mayor Bob Butler tells Heartland News, that the city council voted unanimously Wednesday night to terminate Hyde “for cause.”
The mayor says the City is doing an internal audit of the department to determine exactly what is, or is not missing.
They’re running her name as “Hyde”….we’ve been told “Heyde”…if anyone out there for sure knows, feel free to post…..and, if you have a photo, that’d be sweet.

Heyde is correct. Wife of Charles Heyde, long time Fire Chief in Marion. Mother of current Fire Capt Bill Heyde. Skeletor BUTTler and his hillbilly cronies like the nepotism.
Butler is on record at the SI stating that a full investigation is being conducted by the city and the police dept BUT…indicated that there was “no timetable” for resolution. That may mean that the issue will be buried …and then quietly disposed of…
Sure….long as she pays it back, I’ll bet she’s good to go!
Wish I could get a job where I could dip my hand in the till and use money until someone finds out about it….then just pay it back when I get caught, and all’s good with the world!!

I wonder which day they will decide she was fired ? Last Friday as many employees were saying, Monday as the Mayor said or last night as the Council said ! Sounds like she got caught Friday, they know how much or at least how much she admitted to already (which I’m sure is a very low ball figure), they probably made a pay back and be silent about it deal but some employee that cares alerted the media!! Damn Butler, can’t you keep all those nepotism employees quiet? I also heard a email went out to all departments to keep mouths shut on this?

(Go figure that one out, Bob the Butler…. :p )
Maybe they will give her a job scrubbing the books like at the Lawrence County Health Department does…
