Despite last month’s attack on our article, tonight, E-town gets a new mayor

ELIZABETHTOWN—The Harrisburg GateHouse affiliate spent an inordinate amount of time last month (early April) attempting to diss us mightily over our report that E-town village president Tom Seiner was resigning. Using references to the  word “rumors” many times in order to make our print version report look bad, they hammered and hammered at the “fact” that Seiner was to remain president (mayor.)

However, turns out we were right.

Seiner IS resigning, and tonight, the village board is meeting to determine who’s taking over for him.

Seiner told us last month that he has a lot of stress and the mayoral spot just isn’t for him. He insisted that any resignation would have nothing to do with his son being involved in a physical assault on a Hardin County Schools boy, nor did it have anything to do with Sandy “Sandbags” Conkle giving him shit over his yard, garage, dumpster, etc.

However, he’s not being very vocal about why he is resigning…and worse, there’s been no input as to who is going to be taking his place at the mayoral chair.

We’re hoping it’s not Sandbags, nor her brother Heck “Hell” Rose, whose resignation last summer was the reason why Tommy was there to begin with.

We’ll float some more Hardin County news out there when we learn who’s taking Tommy’s place….be watching.
