Well, sometimes TRUTH is a helluva lot funnier, too.
Howzers, puh-LEEZE do not depart Southern Illinois for Las Vegas. Or…if you DO, I’ve contacts to get you Siegfried and Roy’s long-time Agent if you answer the Siren Song of Staged Comedy Repartee.
The food buffets in Vegas could be a drawing card…although local Disclosure Advertisers and outlets take care of ya in the culinary dept.
Mmmmm….Las Vegas culinary arts…..a class unto its own. It’s a sireen song, for shore, for us ol backwoods hillbillies….
Some backwoods hilbillies have been among the smartest folks I’ve ever met. Learned as a child not to judge a person by clothes, accent, etcetera. Is trying to foist this situation on people in RC evidence of what they REALLY think about the populace that pays taxes and votes? (On par with Goldman/Sachs referring to clientele denigratingly as Muppets?)
As I’ve mulled over this unfolding situation, I have to wonder about RC’s Elected Officials, etc. Are they the types who have exquisite over-estimation of their own intelligence abilities compared to the Great Unwashed Voting Masses whom they apparently believe are Dumber Than A Box of Rocks?
Did nobody review the Motel 8′s surveillance tapes? Easy-peasy to give tapes a look-see.
Okay, so surveillance materials admittedly sent off for enhancement? Not uncommon, even standard operating procedure.
But were they so dumb as to not make a backup copy and instead put the only copy into the bowels of the USPS or other hard-copy communication carrier to risk it disappearing forever? Even an UNenhanced copy would’ve beeen better for the G-J than a stick in the eye of only verbal testimony from questionable sources.
The Grand Jury met in December after the Nov. 20th shooting (supposedly IN a vehicle which people believed the scenario to be – for months.) Was the Grand Jury never shown the surveillance camera “evidence”? Was it purposely withheld so the trusting members of the G-J were flying blind? Naive as a young innocent girl s’posed to believe the Sworn In Forever & Ever Assurances of True Love from a randy drunken teenage lout? Who wouldn’t even remember getting home? Let alone the promises to the par amour.
I have this discomfitting idea that if pictoral evidence was withheld, the recently blind-eyed, shit-faced inebriated cohorts that had their outraged “this’s MY/our story(ies) ‘n I’m/we’re STICKING TO IT!” were NOT the ony ones confusing fiction with fact. And chances are someone on the G-J could’ve counted and shots fired didn’t add up – not enough to give the whiny “I’ve been shot!” but getting pugilistic when others sought to help/investigate, a lil’ Parking Lot Simian Party Favor toxic led – wrapped in a casing (only 2 retrived.)
But that officials were not gentlemen of honor,either, it would seem, and perhaps not forthright nor forthcoming, sitting on evidence like they were trying to hatch an egg.
Well! IMO they just LAID one helluva rotten egg.
There are sins of commission – and probably a larger gullywasher of sins of OMISSION.
Are Grand Jury procedings totally secret?
Are G-J members sent back out into society with an Airtight Gag Order (STFU directives.)
Or…is it possible some G-J member who’d resent the hell out of having been misled could be mad as a hornet and ready to…talk?
There are supposed to be protections for Whistle-Blowers, however…..
This entire travesty reeks. If a regular citizen did what it seems officials MAY have done, IMO, they could be at risk for being prosecuted for Obstruction of Justice or some such infractions.
No wonder, if Mr. O’Gara got some of this crapola shared with him early on he’d have kept a Zipped Lip. He may’ve been squirming inwardly to keep it under wraps and bide his time to Tell It To The Judge.
And see The Egg that the Prosecution laid in this matter all over their FACES!
